Last times @ Carlsbad high

the contest was supposed to start @ 11 am but it didnt start till around 1:30 & lasted till about 4. DC & transworld sponsered it, seems like monster dropped off the radar. The cracks were filled & bondoed and the crowd was there ready to see some major shit go down & maybe some ankle busting. No cops just a free for all which is a first @ the gap. There was a bunch of livin legends & old pros on attendence that consisted of Matt hensley, John lucero, Pat duffy, Colin mckay, adrian lopez, kristian svitak ( sportin a jerome bettis jersey), Josh kasper, Oscar jordan, Marcel johnson, Neal mims just to name a few

There was alot of blasting going down...some random dude started it off with attempting to ollie the gap while losing his deck and just stomping his heels so hard on the landing that you could hear the echo of his bones hammering the concrete. Nick merlino tore it up the whole time with a bunk knee & ankle, this dude is an animal. lindsey robertson was there ripping aswell dropping a switch heel, b/s heel flip & tyler mcclung was part of the main event towards the end of the session, he was hard at work spinning a switch bs big flip !! shit was sick for sure...Wow...he landed twice and sess sliding out and sliding on his back 2-3 times. Death wish am louis de los reyes a.k.a Moose tore it with a nollie bs flip and a fs flip over the rail n gap. He earned his bs nollie flip that he landed previously and mysteriously hopped off after his roll away, non the less he made up for that and he landed it super buttery w/ a calm roll away.....Greg myers battled his demons & while coming down he had his deck bounce off the crete only to connect with his face........josh kasper threw down an ollie impossible with flouro grip. Prolly the sickest trick was creatures silent mike who double flipped over the rail

The turn out could of been better if it was a pro & am contest ( even though they let lindsey robertson enter) the 1st place prize was 2,500 smackeroos which was like an 1980's purse ...... All expectations aside it was a pretty damn good real raw street contest
